Infection: Humanity’s Last Gasp is now available on Steam for PC & Mac!
Based on John Gibson’s board game, Infection: Humanity’s Last Gasp puts you in charge the Department of Plague Control (DPC) field office in New York City. You make the decisions about what parts of the virus to study, which personnel to hire, and what equipment to purchase.
You’ll soon discover you are working with an eccentric group of scientists who don’t always work well together — and one very resourceful lab rat named Marvin. As the casualties increase, so does the stress and mistakes made, as you try to complete your vaccine before time runs out for all of mankind!
Infection: Humanity’s Last Gasp uses simple mechanics in a multitude of combinations to create engaging, deep gameplay as you try to eliminate an evolving virus that could spell the end of the human race.
Civil War: Bloody April is based on the board game of the same name and is part of the ‘Great Battles of the American Civil War’ series of games, recreating the significant battles of the American Civil War. Bloody April focuses on the Battle of Shiloh which was fought from 6th to 7th April 1862.
The Union Army of the Tennessee, under Major General Ulysses S. Grant, was encamped at Pittsburg Landing, on the West Bank of the Tennessee River. The Confederate Army of the Mississippi, commanded by General Albert S. Johnston, launched a surprise attack on the morning of 6th April. Unprepared for battle, the Union forces suffered heavy casualties in the first hours of the fighting but held their position at Pittsburg Landing.
Overnight the Union were reinforced by the arrival of Major General Don C. Buell’s Army of the Ohio, and launched a decisive counterattack on 7th April, driving the Confederates from the field.
The ‘Battles of the Ancient World’ game system is a tactical simulation of some of the greatest and most important battles from ancient history from 1457 B.C. to 451 A.D.. This new edition of the game includes all the content from the previous released games in the series (I, II, III and IV) in one app!
Each of the 18 scenarios available features one of these great battles and players may play as either side. Each unit in the game represents an actual unit that participated in the battle, each with an actual strength between 250 and 1,200 men.
The map represents the actual terrain over which each battle was fought. The game in the series has been designed to ensure maximum playability and historical accuracy, in that order. There are over 100 different units across all the missions, ranging from elite Roman Legionaries, to Persian Scythed Chariots. Each unit has its own unique ability that you need to take advantage of in order to win each battle.
Civil War: 1861 covers the opening battles of the American Civil War. The game covers both the small and large actions of that momentous year, starting with the battle at ‘Big Bethel’, on to the comparatively vast engagements at ‘Bull Run’ and ‘Wilson’s Creek’.
In 1861 both sides have plenty of volunteer recruits who, though enthusiastic, lack battlefield experience. On the weaponry side much of the equipment still belongs to the Napoleonic Era with a plethora of muzzle loading, smoothbore artillery.
Many of the commanders, who most would identify as the leaders the civil war armies, are still junior officers in the engagements recreated in this game. Command the Union or Confederate forces in these key battles.
Can you change history? Good luck and on to battle!
