How to use the 'HexWartm Game Launcher'

Contents

  1. First Time Use
  2. Playing Head-to-Head Games
  3. Playing Games In Demo/Hot Seat Mode

1. First Time Use

First, type your user name and password. (Use the same username and password here as you do to log in to HexWar.com.) Then click 'Log In'.

2. Playing Head-to-Head Games

Once sending and receiving is finished, a list of all your game turns appears. Click on any game labelled 'My Turn' to play it.

N.B. If the list of Head-to-Head games is empty, you need to log in to HexWar.com and issue/accept some challenges. For help on how to do this, go to the 'Help' section of the website, click 'How-To Guides', then click 'Challenges'.

After clicking a game labelled 'My Turn', the following window will appear:

Play 'Napoleon at Waterloo'. Click 'Yes' to continue.

After clicking 'Yes' in the above window, the game will open, as described in How to Play.

3. Playing Games In Demo/Hot Seat Mode

What is 'Hot Seat'? 'Hot Seat' is a single-player, or solitaire, mode. That is, it allows you to play against yourself. First, click the 'Hot Seat Games' tab. Then click on a game you wish to play.

After clicking on a game in the above window, the game will open, as described in How to Play.
