1. Logging In

Home Page. If you don't yet have a HexWar.com account, click 'Join' to get one. Joining is free! Click 'Login' to access your HexWar.com account.

2. Accepting a Challenge

The top table shows challenges other people have sent you. Click 'Accept' beside a challenge to accept it. A game starts when you Accept a challenge, or a challenge that you Issued is accepted. The bottom table shows challenges you have issued.

3. Issuing a Challenge

To issue a challenge to another player, click 'Issue a Challenge'.

3.1 Select a Game

Issue a Challenge - Step 1. Decide which of the listed games you would like to play, then click 'Select Opponent'.

3.2 Select an Opponent

Issue a Challenge - Step 2. First, click a letter to see opponents whose user names begin with that letter. Then, click 'Select' beside the name of your chosen opponent.

3.3 Select a Scenario

Issue a Challenge - Step 3. This step includes some useful information about your opponent. Most games include several different scenarios. You now need to choose which scenario to play, by clicking on its name.

3.4 Game Options

Issue a Challenge - Step 4. Simply choose from the options in this step, and click 'Issue Challenge'. If you like, you can use the 'Comments' box to send your opponent a message along with the challenge.

4. What to Do Next

If you have not yet installed the Launcher, you need to install it now (see the Windows Installation or Mac Installation HowTo).

Otherwise, simply open the Launcher to play your newly-started games (see the Launcher HowTo).
